Mid-Distance tour around Zurich lake

Yesterday was my birthday party but this was no excuse to ride hard today. I made a mid-distance training around the Zurich lake.
The idea was to ride a "Veloland Schweiz Tour" form Forch to Rapperswil. But I'missed the way right after Forch and I rode the hole way on asphalt. Not very nice with a MTB but good for my legs anyway ;) I arrived in the dark in Rapperswil and decided to ride the way back to Zurich.

The last 10 km where quite hard. My saddle tried to kill me. And the rain didn't made it more comfortable - but I made it :) :) 86km

My Garmin had no battery that's why I used runkeeper to track my training.

Biking is fun

Today I made my very first training on "real terrain". After hours of cardio cycling it was great to feel the ground :)
Without any preparation at all my sparring partner and I climbed up to the Uetliberg, the hill close to Zurich.
The trail was not very MTB friendly. Next time we may better check the map first ;) But I know now how to carry my super light carbon bike.

From the top of Zurich we rode down to Adliswil - a very nice ride. The scenery with the sunset was just amazing.
